Over 22 years ago, my wife, Dee, and I decided that we were tired of renting and wanted to buy a house close to DFW Airport, as we both traveled for our jobs. After searching for only 3 days, we found our perfect home in Colleyville. We settled in and a few years later we had our daughter, Hope. We became very active in the local schools, volunteering at each school, which led to Dee receiving a Texas PTA Honorary Life Membership award.

We were also very active on the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk from 2005 - 2018, 9 of those years I led a crew of up to 30 very rowdy motorcyclists and bicyclists in keeping over 3000 walkers safe while walking 20 miles each day of the event and Dee participated in multiple roles; walker, crewmember, and leader of the Youth Corps.  We became fosters for Texas Husky Rescue, fostering 48 dogs and helping them find great homes. We also participate in many other local charity events.

In 2015, we became involved in local politics, supporting Liz Zeitlin and Bobby Lindamood. We learned more about issues and how to support candidates. In 2016, I was asked to join Colleyville's Planning and Zoning Commission. I was involved in several large, complex residential and commercial zoning cases that required the understanding of the Land Development Code and our comprehensive plan, Destination Colleyville.

In 2018, I was approached to discuss running for Colleyville City Council. This was not something that I had considered, but the most fulfilling opportunities are those that lead you out of your comfort zone. Though a contentious race, I remained committed to running a positive, issues focused campaign and Colleyville responded by allowing me to represent them as a Councilmember.

One of my favorite things is being able to talk one on one about a resident's or business owner's  issues and be able to facilitate the resolution to their problem.  I am proud of our city and that we are citizen focused, fiscally conservative, dedicated to keeping our taxes as low as possible, financially transparent, driven to provide exceptional service and open for business. Thank you Colleyville for trusting me with leading the city and hopefully, continuing to serve you.
